World novelty – Belt-Butler: The clever belt clip for more wearing comfort and safety

When wearing a belt, it is annoying if the free end sticks out or hangs down. A loose or too long belt end is a hindrance during sports activities and a safety hazard when working. Such a problem is particularly prevalent if the wrong belt length was selected at the time of purchase or if the belt has become too long due to weight loss. The existing loops on the trousers and belt are usually not suitable for securely fastening the free end of the belt.

Various solutions have already been proposed to solve the problem, such as additional loops or clips. However, these are usually too loose and have to be made to fit exactly and threaded on with great effort. A universally applicable belt fixation that is easy to put on and fits tightly does not yet exist.

Innovation / Solution

With the Belt-Butler retaining clip according to the invention, a free belt end can be securely fixed in a simple manner for the first time. The Belt-Butler is a novelty in the world and is designed in such a way that the retaining clip only has to be pulled apart to set the appropriate width. A spring mechanism automatically holds the Belt-Butler securely in position. The Belt-Butler makes it possible to wear a belt more comfortably and securely. When doing sports or working, the belt is prevented from getting caught in the belt or from getting caught in fast-moving machines and dragging the person along. Furthermore, existing belts that have become too long and need to be replaced with a new one can still be used, which is a big plus in terms of sustainability. The Belt-Butler's retaining brackets can be coated (alternatively, a heat-shrinkable tube can also be used) - this allows high-priced/sensitive belts to be protected and an extremely firm hold to be realized. Three sizes are available for the Belt-Butler, the medium size is suitable for approx. 75% of the market. The Belt-Butler can be made of stainless steel (as a robust everyday variant), but also of noble materials (as a piece of jewelry) and set with precious stones. It can also be made of plastic (e.g. in leather look or in bright colors). Other materials are wood or horn (Traditional costume fashion). The Belt-Butler is also suitable for use as a promotional item (e.g. printed with a company logo as a give-away item at trade fairs or as a small gift). The Belt-Butler has been prototypically implemented and a concept for series production of the stainless steel version has been worked out (industrial punching and bending process, from 200,000 pieces). In addition, Internet domains and an immediately business-capable UG exist, which can be taken over.
